As of late I have not been able to read as much as I would like. I have a pile of books I'm current reading on my shelf. They just stay there staring at me.
Not having time hurts me so much.

Whenever I'm seeing all the amazing sites hosted here I feel a bit relieved from the burnout I'm facing right now. Thank you.
I'm currently in the middle of my internship as a librarian in the university.
I cannot find the energy to start working on my programming projects.
But I'm not going to give up.

Last week's event was amazing. Cool talks about linguistics and computation. Now here I am with a lot of new ideas but without time to test them out because my classes are starting again tomorrow.

This week I'm at an academic event. This funny thing happened: everybody was using the place's Wi-Fi. Everybody but one of my friends who could not get the wifi to work. At some point one the person responsible for the event goes to the mic and says "It's a miracle how damn good the wifi is." Today my friend did not come because he is personally offended by the organizer's comment. LMAO

I would like my days to have more hours so I can finally kill my to read list.
There's so many 500+ page books which makes the days and life itself just seems too short.

Nothing beats reading while listening to experimental music. Today I'm reading some theory (IA445K445M) while listening to Stockhausen - Mikrophonie I and II, which starts a bit harsh but ended up being quite nice, maybe a little to quiet for my tastes but still nice.
Later tonight I'm thinking about continue to read Homeland the first Drizzt book. Now I only need to choose which music I'm gonna listen to while reading that one.

The other two messages was in the morning, now It's 10PM here in Brazil. Today I did some sort of Static Site Generator. Now I can write those messages in plain text and my helper script just make html out of them. I guess I'm taking this a bit serious for once, huh?

This week I've been toying around with Xlib. My long term objective is to be able to build a small game using just C and Linux libs. Kinda similar to Handmade Hero, but for Linux. As a self taught C programmer I look foward to the challenge. I'm expecting to learn a lot about Linux, alsa, Xlib and C in the following months.

I just wanna say that I like linux a lot. I've been daily driving linux for about 2 and a half years. In the past I've tried to switch to Ubuntu but the system always ended up breaking. (I really did not like the package manager.) This time I've been using Arch and Pacman is intuitive as hell.
I've always felt that the whole "Desktop" experience was a bit too much for me. When I learned about window managers my computer experience changed. I'm currently using dwm because I like C. After a little tweaking and some patches things now are both smooth and fun.
Last year I also learned VIM. I also tried Emacs, but vim just clicked.
